Help me win the NAMI Virginia Kiss a Pig Competition

I might have to kiss a pig on December 1st, and I would have you to blame for it.

As luck--or great misfortune--would have it, I was selected to be one of 10 contestants in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Virginia Kiss a Pig Competition this month. That means I may have to pucker and kiss a pig.

If I can raise the most money and awareness for mental health by the end of this month, then yours truly has to smooch a real-life pig. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it doesn't have to. All you need to know is that I'm doing it, and I will gladly make a fool of myself and contract swine flu to raise money so that NAMI can help more individuals living with mental illness and their families.

You can learn more about the competition here and donate on my contest page here.

How often do I get to raise money and awareness for mental health while also having the opportunity for a porcine kiss? Thank goodness my answer to that question is only one, but I'm doing it now because the services that NAMI Virginia provides for the state are too important for me to pass this up.

So please visit my page, check out my story, and donate what you can to support NAMI. Every little bit counts.
