Maps are Liars
I thought I would find what I was looking for
In plans and maps of my dreams
But it wasn’t there
It wasn’t life
It wasn’t what it seemed
I thought I could muscle my future
Into the broad, idyllic light
But fate had other plans for me
It had designed another life
Soon I realized the fallacy
Of wishing for paths to be mine
I had to learn to trust myself
And open up my eyes
Maps are liars
They create false visions
Of where I thought I’d go
Now I know I’ll see much more
If I relax and join the flow
