Hi there.

Look, I have a birthmark on the top of my head.

Welcome to Nerve 10.

I’m Jordan, and I created this site because I couldn’t find mental health information on the Internet that I could relate to.

Nerve 10 is where you will find the most accessible, most meaningful mental health stories and poetry on the world wide web.

My goal is not to regurgitate technical terms and generic information—it’s to create a more realistic and helpful mental health narrative.

Chinks in my armor

Chinks in my armor

dandelion growing through cracks in the ground

love is not what I wanted

but what I needed

it’s not a rainbow

but a rain bow

angling waterfalls

to cover me

with what I can’t escape

I thought I could name it

now I know

to name

is to limit it

is to dismiss it

is to render it

powerless

love is least expected

when it is most needed

try to force it

and it shrinks

try to grab it

and it recoils

try to live it

and it pales

but give up trying

and love

seeps into the cracks

growing flowers

through the chinks in my armor
